Solo Roaming

Feet to move, places to roam

About The Girl

Hello new friend!

My name is Sarah Carnevale. I am a 24 year old girl born and raised in Canada but I do not consider Canada as my home. Home is everywhere and no where when you have left your heart in dozens of cities and countries around the world. I have had restless feet since I was 11 months old and owned my very first passport. I took my first international flight before I could even talk.

I have been traveling solo since 2014. Once I started seeing the world alone, I have had very had little desire to travel in groups or with a partner. Solo travel has pushed me to the limits, tested my patience, and shown me that I am capable of doing anything I set my mind too. Solo travel has made me the person I am today and I am so incredibly proud of that person. My skin has been burnt to a crisp in the Greek sun, gone horseback riding along California beaches, swam the Great Barrier Reef, learned to surf in Hawaii, and the list goes on. I could live to be 25 or 100 and whatever opportunities come my way, I will grab them with no hesitation.

You will always find me smiling, laughing or falling in love with something no matter what corner of the world I am in. I am a strong believer in the “Work hard, play hard” lifestyle because it has got me to where I am today.  If you ever catch a glimpse of my phone screen or laptop, you will most likely find me scrolling through the next departing flight and planning my next adventure.

Life is never a dull moment.

Your partner doesn’t define what you do!!! Over the last few months I have heard countless break up stories and they all seem to have two things in common: 1) One person is ready to settle down and the other isn’t. 2) They all end their break up story with “Now I can travel.” I have to ask, why can’t you travel when you are in a relationship? Why do you have to wait until something bad happens? Your partner doesn’t have to come with you when you travel, leave them at home and go by yourself or with your friends if that’s what you want. You can even travel WITH your partner when you are together. Experience what YOU want to experience when you want to experience it. I’ve traveled in relationships, out of relationships, on my own, taken trips just because I want and I don’t let anyone tell me I can’t go because it’s MY life and I do what I want, when I want. If your partner can’t accept that, then I think we have found the problem ✌🏻 #femaletravel #solofemaletravel #mexcio #cancun #roamtheplanet #passionpassport #sheisnotlost #backpackerstory #mytinyatlas #letsgoeverywhere
“Home is everywhere and nowhere” - Home is more than just four walls and a place to rest your head to sleep. Home could also be your favourite spot on the beach that gets the best sunlight all day long. Home could be a place where you walk through the door of your local bar and the bartender already has your drink prepared. Home could also just simply be the idea that your favourite city of all time is a just a flight away and knowing it’s not going anywhere. Home will always be there when you’re ready for it ✨ #Paros #Greece #passionpassport #solofemaletravel #tinyatlasquarterly #sheisnotlost #roamtheplanet #pinktrotters
It’s been four years since I started traveling alone and still I get lectured each time before I depart on my adventures about alllll the bad people in the world and I’m crazy to go at it solo. My response will always remain the same: There are more good than bad people in the world, you just have to go out there and find them. Once you find them you will forget the bad ones even exist✨ #mexcio #cancun #islamujeres #solofemaletravel
When it’s the first day of the last semester of your last degree but you’re in Mexico instead, oops 🤷🏼‍♀️ Started 2019 the only way I know how: A solo trip to warmer weather 🌞
Looking back on all the crazy, wonderful, unexpected and oh so perfect experiences and adventures that took place in 2018. This year gave me plenty of “Did that actually happen?” stories to tell and that’s just the way I like it. 💁🏼‍♀️
Back under and surrounded by green spaces so soon 🌴 #tulum #tulummexico
